Concentrating on the Big Bend area, City of Tallahassee, surrounding counties and State of Florida government offices:
To act as a source of information for the membership, other organizations and the public, on the current state of electric vehicle technology worldwide.
To encourage experimentation in the building of electric vehicles, particularly to improve energy and resource efficiency, reduce emissions and improve vehicle safety.
To promote and organize public exhibits of electric vehicles built by members and others for the purpose of informing the public on the progress of electric vehicle technology and conducting public opinion polls.
To use all media, such as newsletters, web sites, information packages, and other paper and electronic media designed to inform the public and promote the cause of electric vehicles.

TAEVA is committed to provide the tools; instructors, vehicles, models etc. so schools, colleges and universities can educate their students on green vehicles. | |
Project:2nd Life |
A non-profit experimental facility consisting of shops, tools etc. to educate and facilitate the recycling of cars, in essence giving them a second life, a new life, as an electric car. The shop could be named: “The Tallahassee Electric Car Company” and serve as a model for other cities to do the same. | |
Project:Green Car |
Use of a specialty license plate to promote green cars in Florida. Owners of hybrids, electric cars and other alternative fuel vehicles would buy this license plate. Proceeds would be used to further promote the license plate and to pay for an ad campaign aimed at enlightening the public on green vehicles and their benefits to society and the environment. In its simplest form a series of billboards in all major Florida cities on heavy traffics segments of the expressway. | |
